The Hive
Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew
London

The Gold Medal-winning UK Pavilion was originally built for the 2015 Milan Expo, and has been relocated to the Kew botanical gardens in central London. The Hive, which explores the life of the bee colony, consists of 32 horizontal stacked layers of hexagonal geometry creating an abstracted analogue of a honeycomb.
